n+1 Social Foundation is a not-for-profit organization working to improve foundational English and Math skills for children in underserved communities across rural India through programs like Read-a-Story (RAS) and Solve-With-Bharat (SWB).
2. Who are these programs for? (Design Thinking / Global Impact Internship / Indian Rural Immersion-IRI)
Both programs are designed for:

About the Programs
4. What is the Design Thinking Course?
Design Thinking is a free, online, project-based program where students work on real challenges in India’s education ecosystem using design thinking, collaboration, and guided problem-solving.
5. What is the Global Impact Internship?
It is a flexible, modular internship where students work on real-world projects linked to n+1’s programs while building practical, industry-relevant skills.
6. What is the India Rural Immersion Programme (IRI)?
IRI is an optional, in-person extension of I4E where students visit rural Maharashtra to experience how ideas translate into real-world implementation, working alongside community facilitators and schools.
7. Do I have to participate in IRI?
No. IRI is completely optional and is designed for students who want deeper, on-ground exposure after I4E.

11. How much time do I need to commit? (Design Thinking/ Internship)

12. What is the duration of IRI?
IRI is a short-term, in-person, 10-day immersion program, conducted in rural Maharashtra.
Credits, Certification & Outcomes
13. Will I receive a certificate? (Design Thinking/ Internship / IRI)
Yes. Certificates are provided detailing participation, hours, and skills gained.
14. Can I earn academic credit? (Design Thinking/ Global Impact Internship)
Many institutions use the following benchmarks:

Experience & Impact
18. Will my work actually be used? (Design Thinking/ Global Impact Internship/IRI)
Yes. Projects are based on real needs, and strong work may be used or implemented within n+1’s programs. In addition, students
will create a project report (format can vary) that captures their work and highlights measurable learning outcomes and impact
in the field, something that can be valuable for college applications and future opportunities.
19. How are these programs different from others? (Design Thinking/ Global Impact Internship)

Yes, you can choose to participate in both programs, and they are designed to complement each other.
A suggested pathway is:
Design Thinking → Global Impact Internship → India Rural Immersion (IRI)

Design Thinking helps you build a strong foundation in design thinking, problem-solving, and understanding real-world challenges in education.

The Global Impact Internship allows you to go deeper by developing practical skills and working on real projects, building a strong portfolio.

IRI (optional) then allows you to experience these ideas on the ground, interacting with communities and seeing how solutions translate in real settings.
This progression helps you move from:
Understanding problems → Building solutions → Experiencing real-world impact
However, students can choose to participate in any program independently based on their interests and availability.

I4E - terms, Privacy and Refund Policy
A. Online Participation & Code of Conduct
Students are expected to:
-
Attend sessions regularly and on time.
-
Participate respectfully in discussions and group activities.
-
Keep their camera/microphone available when requested by the mentor.
-
Treat fellow students and mentors with respect.
-
Recordings, screenshots, personal information, or other participants' work outside the program will not be shared without permission.

Use AI and other digital tools responsibly and disclose their use where requested.
-
Submit their own work and respect academic integrity.
n+1 reserves the right to discontinue a student's participation in the program in cases of serious or repeated misconduct. No refund will ordinarily be provided in such cases.
B. Privacy Policy
At n+1 Social Foundation, we respect the privacy of our students and their families. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information you share with us when you register for or participate in the Innovate for Education (I4E) program.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect information such as:

Student's name, age/grade, and school

Information required for program registration and participation

Student work, project submissions, and feedback

Information related to attendance and participation
We collect only information that is reasonably necessary to administer and improve the program.
2. How We Use the Information
Information collected may be used to:

Register and communicate with students and parents

Conduct and manage I4E sessions

Provide mentorship and feedback

Track participation and program outcomes

Improve our programs

Communicate important program updates
We will not sell or rent student or parent information to third parties.
3. Student Work, Photographs & Recordings
I4E may involve online sessions, presentations, and project work. With the appropriate permission, n+1 may record sessions and retain recordings for program-related purposes.
Student work may also be used by n+1 for educational, documentation, website, social media, reports, or promotional purposes, subject to the permissions provided by the student and parent/guardian.
Parents/guardians will be allowed to provide or withhold consent for such use where required.
4. Children & Parental Consent
I4E is intended for students from Grade 9 onwards. Students under 18 must participate with the duly signed written consent of a parent or legal guardian.
We take additional care when handling information relating to minors and seek parental/guardian consent where required. India's data-protection framework requires verifiable parental consent for processing children's personal data.
5. Data Security & Retention
n+1 takes reasonable steps to protect personal information against unauthorized access, misuse, or disclosure.
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, or where required for legitimate organizational, legal, or reporting purposes. The DPDP framework also contemplates deletion when the specified purpose is no longer being served, subject to applicable legal requirements.

Parents or students may contact n+1 if they have questions about the information we hold about them or wish to raise a concern about its use.

C. Refund & Cancellation Policy
Cancellation by the Participant
-
To secure your spot, a 50% down payment (which is fully refundable) is required.
-
More than 30 days before the program commencement: 100% refund of the program fee.
-
Between 30 days and 7 days before commencement: 20% refund of the program fee.
-
Less than 7 days before commencement: No refund.
-
Any exceptional circumstances will be considered on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of n+1.
Cancellation by n+1
If n+1 is unable to conduct the program, participants will be offered either:
-
A place in a future session, or
-
A refund of the applicable program fee.
Withdrawal After the Program Begins
Once the program has commenced, fees are generally non-refundable, as mentor time, program resources, and other arrangements are committed in advance.
However, n+1 may consider exceptional circumstances on a case-by-case basis.
Transfer of Registration
A student's place may not be transferred to another student without prior approval from n+1.
