Parental Consent
Terms & Conditions – n+1 Student Programs
These Terms & Conditions apply to all participants enrolling in Innovate for Education (I4E), the Global Impact Internship, and the India Rural Immersion (IRI) program.
1. General Terms
1.1 Eligibility

Programs are open to students from Grade 9 onwards, including college students.

Participation by minors requires parent/guardian consent.
1.2 Participation & Commitment
-
Students are expected to attend sessions regularly and actively participate in all assigned activities.

Completion of the program depends on meeting minimum participation and submission requirements.
1.3 Code of Conduct
Participants are expected to:

Maintain respectful and appropriate behavior at all times
-
Be punctual and committed
-
Follow all program guidelines and mentor instructions
n+1 reserves the right to remove any participant in cases of:
-
Misconduct
-
Disruptive behavior
-
Violation of program rules
No refund will be provided in such cases.
1.4 Use of Work & Media
-
n+1 reserves the right to use student work (including assignments, projects, and outputs) for:
-
Website
-
Reports
-
Social media
-
Communication materials
-
-
Photos, videos, and testimonials may also be used for program-related communication, with prior consent.
1.5 Session Recordings
-
Sessions may be recorded for internal and educational use.
-
Access to recordings may be shared with participants at the discretion of n+1.
1.6 Fees & Refund Policy
-
Program fees vary based on modules selected.
-
Refund policy:
-
50% refund if cancellation is made at least 1 month prior to program commencement
-
20% refund if cancellation is made at least 1 week prior
-
No refunds beyond this period
-
-
Exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
1. Parent / Guardian Consent (All Programs + IRI)
n+1 Student Programs
Consent & Acknowledgement
I give my consent for my child/ward to participate in the selected n+1 program(s).
I understand and acknowledge that:

Program Nature
-
The programs are educational and may involve online sessions, project work, and (in the case of IRI) in-person participation in rural Maharashtra.

Online Participation (Design Thinking/ Internship)
-
Sessions may be recorded and shared with participants at the discretion of n+1.
-
My child is expected to adhere to the program guidelines and code of conduct.

India Rural Immersion (IRI) – Specific
-
I voluntarily permit my child to travel and participate in the IRI program.
-
We will arrange travel to Mumbai (airfare).
-
n+1 will arrange pick-up and drop-off from Mumbai, along with:
-
Accommodation
-
Meals
-
Local transportation
-
On-ground support and supervision throughout the program duration
-
Access to a standby vehicle for emergencies
-
-
-
Health & Safety
-
I confirm that my child is physically and mentally fit to participate.
-
I will inform n+1 of any medical conditions in advance.
-

Code of Conduct
-
I understand that violation of rules (including inappropriate behavior, alcohol consumption, or smoking) may result in removal from the program.

Media & Work Usage
-
I consent to n+1 using my child’s work, photographs, videos, and testimonials for program-related communication.

Declaration
I have read and understood the Terms & Conditions and agree to them.

2. Design Thinking – Additional Terms
-
Design Thinking is a guided, project-based program focused on design thinking and problem-solving.
-
Students are expected to:
-
Participate in discussions and group activities
-
Complete assigned project work
-

Participation in the India Rural Immersion (IRI) is optional and subject to separate registration and consent.
3. Global Impact Internship – Additional Terms
3.1 Structure
-
The internship is modular, and students may choose one or more programs.
-
Duration and workload vary by module.
3.2 Certification
-
Certificates will be awarded based on:
-
Completion of assigned work
-
Meeting minimum participation requirements
-
3.3 Nature of Work
-
Projects are based on real-world needs; however:
-
n+1 will try, but does not guarantee the implementation of all student work
-
Strong contributions may be considered for use within the organization
-
4. India Rural Immersion (IRI) – Additional Terms
4.1 Nature of Program
-
IRI is an optional, in-person program conducted in rural Maharashtra, India.
-
It is designed to provide exposure to on-ground implementation and community engagement.
4.2 Travel & Logistics
-
n+1 will arrange:
-
Accommodation
-
Meals
-
Local transportation
-
Does not include airfare
-
-
Participants are responsible for:
-
Travel to and from Mumbai to their city/country of residence
-
4.3 Parental Consent & Responsibility
-
Participation in IRI requires explicit parental/guardian consent.
-
Parents/guardians acknowledge that:
-
The student is participating voluntarily
-
Travel and participation are undertaken at their own responsibility
-
4.4 Safety & Liability
-
n+1 will take reasonable steps to ensure safety and supervision during the program.
-
However, n+1 will not be held liable for:
-
Natural events
-
Unforeseen circumstances
-
Situations beyond its control
-
4.5 Code of Conduct (Strictly Enforced)
Participants must:
-
Dress appropriately, respecting the cultural context of rural India
-
Maintain respectful behavior with local communities
Strictly prohibited:
-
Consumption of alcohol/intoxicants
-
Smoking
-
Any inappropriate or disrespectful behavior
Violation will result in immediate removal from the program, without refund.
5. Acceptance of Terms
By enrolling in any of the n+1 programs, participants and their parents/guardians (where applicable) agree to abide by these Terms & Conditions.
n+1 India Rural Immersion (IRI) – Liability Waiver
This waiver must be signed by the participant's parent or guardian.
Acknowledgement of Risk
I understand that participation in the India Rural Immersion (IRI) program involves travel and on-ground exposure in rural areas, which may include certain inherent risks.
Responsibility & Assumption of Risk
I acknowledge that:

My child is participating voluntarily
-
Travel to and from Mumbai is our responsibility
-
n+1 will provide logistical support from Mumbai onwards
I understand that while n+1 will take reasonable precautions to ensure safety, it cannot eliminate all risks.
Limitation of Liability
I agree that n+1, its team members, facilitators, and partners shall not be held liable for:

Natural events (weather, environmental conditions, etc.)

Travel-related disruptions
-
Illness, injury, or unforeseen incidents beyond reasonable control
-
Any other circumstances not directly caused by negligence
Medical & Emergency Consent
In the event of a medical emergency, I authorize n+1 to seek necessary medical treatment for my child. Any associated costs will be borne by us.
Code of Conduct Agreement
I understand that:

Strict behavioral guidelines apply

Any violation (including alcohol consumption, smoking, or inappropriate conduct) may result in immediate removal from the program
Declaration
I have read, understood, and agree to this waiver.
